ON & OFF III Forestructure destructure

Martin Špirec has been active at visual art platform for a long time but yet he doesn’t fit in the “mainstream” of visual art production that is so often being presented in our galleries. Thus his occasional production is like a fresh breeze that brings renewed humour, exaggeration and irony into the present-day cold and over-conceptualized production of some of his contemporaries. Even though the outstanding feature of his work is primarily the already mentioned situation humour, ease and parody, the issues he deals with are often thorny problems of today. And right there we can meet the uniqueness of Martin Špirec’s authorial brushwork.
